Try to buy the cleanest fruits and vegetables possible given the available sources and your personal resources. Look for Organic, pesticide-free, non-GMO.  Start by protecting yourself with the Environmental Working Group’s Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen (www.ewg.org) guide:
